I’m often indifferent to the RAF Museum at Hendon, perhaps I remember through rose tinted spectacles the museum of my youth, easy accessible on the Tube and so very exciting. It was and maybe still is an amazing collection of Aircraft held in hangars each telling a important story the History of the RAF, The development of Bombers and the crucial story of the Battle of Britain.
The RAF museum today is an incoherent collection, poorly curated organised you get the impression by someone who is a bit embarrassed to confront this history of aerial warfare and who would much rather sell pencils to local school groups!
