Nice Google Fusion Tables example

World Population

Andrew has a simple demonstration of the usefulness of the mapping functions  of Google Fusion tables on his Blog . A nice combination of online resources and tools that take mash ups to the next level.. Think late 1990’s MapInfo or ArcView delivered from the cloud..

But the map is wrong! Kampuchea is mapped to the USA in all the maps – which is odd as it is usually the Vatican or Georgia that is usually mapped there. I think fusion tables still has some work to do before it catches up with even a 1990s GIS.
